23/09/2019

Tourism continues to be a major industry for the City of New York with a record 65 Million tourists in 2018. With the State’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act requiring the reduction of Green House Gases by 40% by the year 2030, hotels are under pressure to meet this goal.  What are the ways that hotels can achieve these goals?

This panel brings together representatives from NYC government, industry (travel & sustainability), academia, and media to discuss the challenges faced by the tourism industry in large cities and the potential rewards of a sustainable tourism industry.
